ABOUT

San Francisco Bay Area singer/songwriter Forrest Hill has a penchant for finding hope in the face of adversity. Raised on a steady diet of Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Talking Heads and The Clash, his story-driven roots-rock Indie-folk explores the terrain of love, loss and the hope of redemption.

Forrest’s career began in Boston where he fronted the funk rock band Judy’s Tiny Head (JTH), releasing two EPs, including the single “My Car,” a local radio hit in New England. The band shared the stage with such acts as the Violent Femmes, Debbie Harry, Paul Young, and Aimee Mann and worked with iconic producer William Garrett (Spotify singles). Aiming for a new start after JTH broke up, he moved to Oakland CA where he developed a more introspective writing style influenced by his meditation practice. At the urging of his new wife, he began recording again, releasing 4 solo albums with a fifth on the way. In 2020, he met producer J. Christopher Thomas and together they’ve crafted a modern folk rock/amaerricana sound bringing to mind such diverse acts as The Shins, The War On Drugs andThe Lumineers.
